1. Introduction
Welcome to Planpanion LTD. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and services. By using our website or services, you agree to comply with these terms.
Planpanion LTD reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be accessible on our website. Continuing to use our services after updates means you agree to the modified terms.
2. Services Provided
Planpanion LTD offers a range of educational resources, including downloadable teaching materials and access to the ‘Review’ assessment platform.
- Personal Plans: Personal Plans offer access to downloadable teaching content. These plans are intended for individual use and do not include access to the Review assessment platform.
- Team Plans: In addition to downloadable materials, Team Plan subscribers gain access to the Review assessment platform, which allows for pupil assessments. Team Plans are suitable for schools or educational institutions, allowing multiple teachers and pupils to utilise the services.
3. Licensed Subscription Model
Your subscription to Planpanion LTD operates on a licensed basis, and the following conditions apply:
- Personal Plans: These plans include yearly licensing fees as standard. They are for individual use only, and the license automatically renews every 12 months unless cancelled before the renewal date. Planpanion LTD reserves the right to increase subscription fees for Personal Plans upon renewal. Subscriptions purchased at a discounted or promotional price will renew at our standard rates displayed on our website. Any changes to pricing will be clearly communicated via email at least 30 days prior to your renewal date. Continuing your subscription beyond the renewal date constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.
- Team Plans: These include a yearly licensing and administration fee and are designed for schools or educational institutions, permitting multiple users to access the platform and resources. Team Plan users also gain access to the Review assessment platform. These licenses do not automatically renew following their 12-month term. Each school accessing our website must be covered by its own Team Plan.
Upon the expiration of your subscription term, the following conditions apply:
- You must delete all stored resources from your devices, servers, and cloud storage systems.
- You must stop using any Planpanion resources in teaching or educational activities.
- Continued use after your license expires is prohibited.
If you continue to use Planpanion resources beyond your subscription expiry without renewal, Planpanion LTD reserves the right to charge you for a new subscription.
4. Upgrading from a Personal to a Team Plan
If a Personal Plan user upgrades to a Team Plan, they are eligible for a refund for the remaining time on their current subscription. The refunded amount will be prorated based on the unused portion of the Personal Plan and applied to the new Team Plan.
5. Team Plan Renewal and Reactivation
There is a distinction between renewal and reactivation of a Team Plan:
- Renewal: You maintain continuous access to services and receive loyalty benefits such as:
- 10% Loyalty Discount on the renewal price.
- One additional month of access added to your subscription.
- Reactivation: If your subscription lapses and you reactivate it later, you lose all loyalty benefits (including the 10% discount and additional month of access). Reactivations are processed at the full price.
6. New School Team Plan Eligibility
The New School Team Plan is only available to schools that have never held a subscription with Planpanion LTD or its predecessor, Deepening Understanding. Schools previously registered are not eligible for this plan.
7. Modifications to Subscription Users
For any modifications to the users on your Team Plan or for subscription-related inquiries, email [email protected].
8. Right to Delay, Modify, Remove or Tier Products and Services
Planpanion LTD reserves the right to delay, modify or remove any products (such as downloadable resources) or services (such as the Review assessment platform). We may also tier subscriptions, restricting access to certain resources, like whole-school resources, to Team Plan users only.
We reserve the right to enforce this without prior notice, particularly in the event of product updates or operational changes.
9. User Accounts and Access
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.
- Primary users (teachers) may create and manage accounts for secondary users (pupils) in accordance with their internal data policies.
- You must not access any accounts other than your own or those for which you are explicitly granted access.
- We only communicate with authorised users such as the account holder for Personal Plans or the Team Manager / Finance Contact on a school subscription.
- Access to the Review assessment platform will only be granted once a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) has been signed and is in place between Planpanion LTD and the subscribing institution.
Planpanion LTD is not liable for any schools that mistakenly sign up for Personal Plans and their associated auto-renewals. We recommend schools opt for a Team Plan via the website or an invoiced option.
10. Usage and Fair Usage
Planpanion LTD believes in fair usage of its resources. Each subscription must be used for its intended purpose:
- Personal Plans: These plans are for individual use by one teacher, purchased independently from an organisation. They should not be used for an entire school or institution. If the platform is required for multiple teachers or classrooms, an upgrade to a Team Plan is necessary.
- Team Plans: Team Plans are designed for schools or educational institutions. These subscriptions allow multiple teachers and pupils to use the service, and they include access to the Review assessment platform. Team Plans cannot be shared across multiple schools or educational institutions.
- Planpanion LTD reserves the right to verify account details and ensure that the correct subscription type and size are being used. If a Personal Plan is purchased with a school billing address, a refund will be issued.
Download Limits
- Subscribers are allowed to download up to 30 resources per day. Requests for additional downloads can be made by emailing [email protected] with a valid reason. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, ensuring no evidence of misuse.
Free Trials
- Free trials are available to schools, but a school email address must be provided.
- Each trial allows one user to access the platform for up to 7 days with a limit of 25 downloads.
- Trials are for downloadable content only and do not include access to the Review assessment platform.
11. Uploading Resources to Public Domains
Subscribers are prohibited from uploading Planpanion resources to the public domain. However, they may upload resources to secure Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) that are not accessible to individuals without a valid subscription.
- You may amend Planpanion resources for teaching purposes, but any amended resources remain the intellectual property of Planpanion LTD and must be used in line with your valid subscription.
- Amended resources cannot be shared with individuals or organisations that do not have a valid Planpanion subscription.
- If amended resources appear in the public domain, it may negatively impact the reputation of Planpanion LTD, and legal action may be pursued.
12. Payment, Invoicing and Settling Accounts
- Invoices: Invoices must be settled within 28 days of issue. If payment is not received within this time, accounts may be temporarily suspended until payment is made.
- Ensure you have permission from your finance department before subscribing, especially if your payment will be made by invoice.
If you do not purchase the correct subscription size for your school, access to the platform may be restricted until the appropriate subscription is in place.
You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of the online purchase or request of the invoice and receive a full refund. If you’d like to cancel within this period, please contact [email protected].
After the 14-day period has passed, no refunds will be issued for any subscription as access will have been granted for an extended period and the service considered used.
13. Termination, Suspension and End of Subscription
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts if these terms are violated or if a subscription expires without renewal.
- Expiration: Once your license expires, you must delete all Planpanion resources from your devices and cease using them. This includes any amended resources that have been adapted for teaching purposes.
- Planpanion LTD may also suspend or terminate access for any breaches of fair usage guidelines or unauthorised distribution of resources.
14. Website Availability and Downtime
Planpanion LTD strives to ensure that our website and services are consistently available. However, we cannot guarantee the platform will always be accessible.
- Planned Downtime: We will notify users of any scheduled downtime for maintenance.
- Unplanned Downtime: In cases of technical issues, the website may become unavailable without notice. Planpanion LTD is not liable for any loss of access during such periods.
15. Privacy and GDPR Compliance
Planpanion LTD manages personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details, refer to our Privacy Notice.
- Account Deletion: In line with GDPR, expired accounts will be deleted or anonymised during our next data cleanse, unless retention is required for legal purposes.
16. Data Security
Planpanion LTD takes data security seriously and complies with all relevant regulations and industry standards. The storage and handling of personal data are conducted in line with our Data Security Policy.
In the event of a data breach, affected parties will be notified in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
17. Limitation of Liability
Planpanion LTD provides its services and resources “as is” and does not make any representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the resources for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Planpanion LTD is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the services, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or reputation.
- The total liability of Planpanion LTD for any claims arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid for the services in the preceding 12 months.
18. Intellectual Property
All content on our platform, including software, text, images, and resources, is owned by Planpanion LTD or licensed to us. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works is prohibited.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
